Marionette Theatre festival - Centro Municipal de las Artes. Pza. Quijan

Its programme offers performances aimed at adult and family audiences, as well as parallel activities (workshops, exhibitions, magazines...).
This Marionette Theatre festival was launched in 1984, adopting its present international status in 1988. It is sponsored by several private and public institutions, with the Town Hall in charge of its organisation.
The numerous Host venues include both indoor and outdoor spaces. Since it was founded in 1984, 216 groups from various countries have participated, displaying almost every marionette-handling technique (glove, string, shadow, rod, muppets, objects, Bunraku...).
